The Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct the Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2025, for the aspirants who are interested in being appointed as translators for various government departments. The exam is going to be held in two stages: Paper 1 and Paper 2, the selection is going to be done with weightage of 50:50.
Candidates who want to participate in this exam will be able to apply by 26 June 2025, after the notification release on 05 June 2025. The date for the Paper 1 is announced by the SSC, it will be organized on August 12, 2025. Eligibility Criteria

Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) & Junior Translator (JT)
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi or English, with English or Hindi respectively as a compulsory or elective subject from a university recognised by the UGC.
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years
Junior Translation Officer (JTO)
- Educational Qualification: Same as JHT/JT. Aditionally, Diploma or Certificate in translation, or two years’ experience in translation (Hindi English).
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years
Senior Hindi Translator (SHT) & Senior Translator (ST)
- Educational Qualification: Same as JHT/JT. Aditionally, Diploma or Certificate in translation, or three years’ experience in translation (Hindi English)
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years
The age relaxation is applicable for 3 years OBC-NCL for 5 years for SC and ST, and additional 10 years for PwBD.
Examination Fee
In order to apply for the SSC CHTE 2025, a mald candidate belonging to UR, Other Backward Class or Economically Weaker Section is required to pay of 100 rupees; and all the female aspirants, PH candidates, Ex-SM and male individuals belonging to Schedule Caste and Scheduled needn’t to pay any amount.

Candidates who belong to Physically Handicapped category will get extra timing incase of having an scribe, for each and hour more 20 minutes will be given.
Pay Scale
Individuals who will be appointed as JHT, JT or JTO will get the monthly salary starting from ₹35,400 under the Pay Level 6, which ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400; and individuals who will be appointed as SHT or ST will the basic pay of ₹44,900 under the Pay Level 7, which ranges from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
How to Apply?
The apply procedure for the SSC CHT Exam 2025 consists of two components, which are registration and application. The details for each is given below.
Registration:
- First of all you have to go to the official website of Staff Selection Commission.
- On the home page of SSC you will see an option for new registration, click on it and access the registration page.
- Here you will have to complete your registration process by filling your name, date of birth, mobile number, email address and other details.
Application:
- Following completing the registration process, you have to login by entering the full station number and password.
- After login, you have to click on the option of the Combined Hindi Translator Examination 2025.
- Post clicking on the above mentioned option the application form page will be opened, here you have to fill all the details carefully.
- Now you have to upload the scanned copies of all the important documents in the required size and format.
- At last you have to pay the exam fee, only if you are a malen and belong to UR, OBC or EWS category, after which you will be able to submit your application form.
