OPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility Criterias 2025
The eligibility criterias for the recruitment of AP (BS) under the OMES is available below, go through the listed points to check that you are eligible to apply or not.
- A candidate must have pursued a Master’s in Medicine (MD) or Medicine of Surgery (MS) in the respective discipline from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. Additionally, the individual must have completed at least one-year PG Senior Resident or Tutorship in college or hospital recognised by the MCC.
- The age of candidate shouldn’t be below 21 years and above 45 years as of January 01, 2025, the upper age relaxation is applicable for 5 years for all female aspirants and male aspirants who belong to SEBC, SC or ST. There is an additional upper age relaxation of 10 years for the PwBD.

OPSC Assistant Professor Selection Process 2025
The selection process for recruitment of AP (BS) under the OMES consists of a single stage, which is the Written Exam. The date for which is confirmed officially, it is all set to be held on August 17, 2025, with an exam time duration of 03 hours. A total number of 200 multiple-choice questions are going to be asked in this examination.
Each question in this exam will carry a weightage of 1 mark, there will also be a provision of negative marking, for each incorrect response 0.25 mark is going to be deducted. The medium of the exam will be only English; individuals who belong to the Physically Handicapped category will get an extra timing of an hour incase of having a scribe.
Only those candidates are going to be declared successful in the written exam, whose score will meet or exceed the cut-off marks, to be released with the result by the OPSC. Individuals who will be declared successful in the exam will have to participate in the Document Verification.
