Patna University UG Admissions 2025-29: 3rd Merit List Released

Patna University (PU Bihar) has released the 3rd Merit List for admission to its 4-year Undergraduate (UG) / Graduation / Degree programs (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com) under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for the Academic Session 2025-29.

The online application process for Patna University UG courses began on April 24, 2025, with the last date to apply being May 31, 2025. Candidates who applied can now check the 3rd Merit List.

Application Fee

  • For All Categories: Rs. 1100/-

The application fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, E Challan, E Wallet, or Cash Card fee modes.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission is offered to 4-year UG programs under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for the 2025-29 session. The minimum eligibility for most courses is passing the Intermediate / Class 12th examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate percentage.

Regular Courses

  • B.A. (Hons): Intermediate / Class 12th (I.A./I.Sc./I.Com or +2 equivalent) from Bihar School Examination Board or other approved Boards (CBSE/ICSE/other State Board) with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Sc. (Hons): Intermediate / Class 12th (I.Sc. or +2 equivalent) from Bihar School Examination Board or other approved Boards (CBSE/ICSE/other State Board) with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Com (Hons): Intermediate / Class 12th (I.A./I.Sc./I.Com or +2 equivalent) from Bihar School Examination Board or other approved Boards (CBSE/ICSE/other State Board) with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Vocational Courses

  • BCA: Intermediate / Class 12th from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate and having Mathematics or Statistics at the qualifying examination.
  • BBA: Intermediate / Class 12th from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Sc. Biotechnology: Intermediate / Class 12th in Biology stream / I.Sc. in PCB or PCMB from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Sc. Environmental Science: Intermediate / Class 12th (I.Sc / 10+2) from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • BMC: Intermediate / Class 12th from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • BSW: Intermediate / Class 12th from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B. A. Functional English: Intermediate / Class 12th from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Com (Hons): Intermediate / Class 12th (I.A./ I.Sc./ I.Com or +2 equivalent) from Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent approved Boards with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Candidates need to upload scanned copies of the following documents during the application process:

  • Photograph Image:

    • File Format: .jpg / .jpeg only
  • Scanned Intermediate Marksheet:
    • File Size: Less than 250 KB

  4. Download the PDF merit list
