Educational Qualification

  • Laboratory Technician:

    • Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th grade) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
    • This qualification should be complemented by a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) or a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognized university or institution.

  • Senior Laboratory Technician:

    • M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / Applied Microbiology / General Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry with or without DMLT.
    • OR Two years of work experience in TB Laboratory Tests, including Genotypic tests (Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests, Line Probe Assay) and Phenotypic Tests (Culture & Drug Susceptibility Tests).
    • OR B.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Life Science / Botany / Zoology, with a DMLT.
    • OR Three years of work experience in TB Laboratory Tests, including Genotypic tests (Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests, Line Probe Assay) and Phenotypic Tests (Culture & Drug Susceptibility Tests).
