The STET is the eligibility test held in Bihar for the year 2025, its roster is likely to be released by the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna in the last week of May 2025. Aspirants who are interested in getting appointed as Teachers Secondary and Higher Secondary schools coming under the Education Department can apply to sit in this examination.
Lakhs of candidates in Bihar are waiting for the notification of this exam to be released. By passing this exam, candidates can obtain a STET certificate which is required to appear in the TRE organized by the BPSC. Those who clear Paper 1 of this exam will be able to appear in the TRE for Class 9 to 10, whereas Paper 2 is for Class 10 to 12.

After the notification of this exam is released by the BSEB, Patna, the application form is likely to be available for about four weeks i.e. one month. Those who are eligible will be able to apply. Eligibility Criteria
To eligibility to sit in this exam is available below, go through the listed points to check that you are eligible to apply or not.
- Paper 1: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Hindi, English, Urdu or any other subject from an institution recognised by the UGC, and two-year BEd or three-year BEd-MEd from an institution recognized by the NCTE.
- Paper 2: Master’s degree in Biology, Economics, Geography or any other subject from a UGC-recognized university, and two-year BEd or three-year BEd-MEd from a NCTE-recognized institution.
The age of the candidate shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 37 years. The age relaxation for 3 years for Male (BC & EBC) and Female (UR, BC & EBC); and 5 years for SC and ST with additional 10 years for PH.
Application Fee

Each question will be of 1 mark, and no mark is going to be deducted for any incorrect answer and unattempted question. Candidates who will have a time duration of 2 hours 30 minutes, PH candidates will get an extra timing of 50 minutes, and the medium of exam will be English and Hindi, expected for the language section.
