CISF HC Recruitment 2025 for Sports Quota; Apply Online for 403 Vacancies!

The advertisement for the appointment of Head Constable (General Duty) under sports quota in the CISF will be released on 18 May 2025, and then the application form will be available on the official website till 06 June 2025. It is going to be released for a total number 403 vacancies, out of which, 204 for Male and 199 for Female for following sports:

  26. Swimming

  29. Bodybuilding

Candidates who have participated in any of the above mentioned sports for state or central level will be able to apply for this recruitment drive. The link to apply will be activated only on the website at https://cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in/.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this recruitment drive, a candidate is required to meet the following criterias:

  • The individual must be a permanent resident of India and residing in any State or Union Territory.
  • The candidate must have passed the Class 12 Exam with any stream from a recognised school.
  • The aspirant’s age shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 23 years. Age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 5 years for SC and ST.
  • One must have represented India at the Senior or Junior level in international tournaments, or his or state or UT in national level championships at Senior or Junior level, or won medals in the AIIUC, or won gold medal in the NSG or Championships, or been a part of a medal-winning team.
  • One must meet the physical standard, whose details are given below:
  • Male:
    • Height: 167 cm
    • Chest: 81–86 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion)
    • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
  • Female:
  • Height: 153 cm
  • Chest: Not required
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
  • Hill Area, Gorkhas, SC/ST, Dogras, Marathas, etc.:
    1. Male Height: 160 cm
    2. Female Height: 150 cm
    3. Chest (Male): 78–83 cm
  • The candidate also required to meet medical standards:
  • Fit and healthy body and mind
  • Good eyesight (with or without glasses)
  • No color blindness
  • Normal hearing
  • No major diseases or disabilities

Application Fee

To apply for the recruitment of Head Constable (GD) in CISF under the sports quota, a male candidate who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS is required to pay 100 rupees using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI. Female aspirants, and male aspirants belonging to SC and ST are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

Selection Process 

The selection process consists of two stages, which are Initial Tests and Medical Examination. The first one includes Trail Test, Proficiency Test, Physical Standard Test and Documentation; and second only have one.

Stage 1: Initial Tests

  1. Trial Test
    • Qualifying in nature.
    • It will be of 20 marks, one needs to get at least 10 to pass.
    • Basic skills in the respective sports discipline will be tested.
  2. Proficiency Test
    • It will be held to assess performance in the chosen sport.
    • Its weightage will be 40 marks, the minimum passing marks is 50 percent i.e. 20.
  3. Physical Standard Test:
    • Height, chest, and weight are to be measured.
    • Standards vary by gender, category, and region (e.g., hill area candidates)
  4. Documentation
    • Educational certificates, sports achievements, identity proof, etc, will be verified.

Stage 2: Medical Examination

  • Individuals who qualify all tests above will undergo medical tests.
  • The ME is going to be conducted to declare the candidate as Fit or Unfit, as per the CAPF standards.
  • Unfit candidates can opt for RME within 24 hours.

The final selection list is going to be prepared based on the performance in the Proficiency Test and Sports Achievement marks, which will be 40 marks and 10 marks, respectively. The merit list is going to be prepared discipline-wise and category-wise; if there will be any time, the higher marks in Proficiency Test, younger age and alphabetical order

Pay Scale 

The pay scale for the position of HC (GD) in CISF under the sport quota is ₹25,500/- to ₹81,100/- with Grade Pay of ₹2,400 as per Pay Level 4 under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Additionally, one will also get the Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, and other benefits.
