The age limit is 18 years to 30 years as of June 14, 2025, with age relaxation for 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST with an additional relaxation of 10 years for PwBD.
Application Fee
In order to apply for recruitment of Trainee under the NMDC, a candidate who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS is required to deposit the application fee of 150 rupees. Individuals who belong to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Departmental Candidate are exempted from the application fee payment.
Selection Process
The selection process for recruitment of Trainee under the NMDC consists two stages, which are Computer-Based Test and Trade Test or Physical Ability Test. Candidates who will apply will be called for the first stage, whivh will be followed by second, and then final selection list will be prepared based on the performance in the CBT.
Pay Scale
Individuals who will be appointed on Trainee RS-1, RS-2 and RS-4 positions under the NMDC will firstly get monthly stipend of ₹18,000, ₹18,000, and ₹19,000, respectively for first 12 month, which will be increased by ₹500 for next 6 months.
After the 18 months, the monthly will salary range from ₹18,500 to ₹31,850, ₹18,700 to ₹32,940 and ₹19,900 to ₹35,040 for RS-1, RS-2, and RS-4, respectively, under the
