Eligibility Criteria for RRB Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification (Post-wise, as per CEN)
- Junior Translator (Hindi): (A) Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi or English with the other as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination at degree level; OR Master’s in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi/English as medium and the other as compulsory/elective; OR Master’s in any subject with both Hindi and English as compulsory/elective or one as medium. AND (B) Recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa, or 2 years’ experience in translation work in Central/State Government offices/undertakings.
- Lab Assistant Grade III (Chemist & Metallurgist): 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent examination with Science (Physics and Chemistry) as subjects.
- Chief Law Assistant/Public Prosecutor: University Degree in Law (LLB) with specified experience (e.g., 3 years as Pleader for Chief Law Assistant; 5 years as advocate for Public Prosecutor).
- Staff and Welfare Inspector: Graduation + one of: Diploma in Labour/Social Welfare, Diploma in Labour Laws, LLB with Labour Laws papers, PG Diploma in Personnel Management, MBA with Personnel Management/HR papers, or PG Diploma in HR Management (with relevant Personnel papers).
- Senior Publicity Inspector: Degree from recognized University + Diploma in Public Relations/Advertising/Journalism/Mass Communication. Desirable: 2 years’ experience in related fields.
