Eligibility Criteria (As per Official Notification)
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years
- Relaxation: SC/ST → 5 years | OBC → 3 years | PwD → 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to extent of service + 3 years (minimum 6 months service required)
Educational Qualification
- Passed Matriculation (10th) in 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) from recognized board
- ITI Pass in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹100/- (non-refundable)
- SC/ST/PwD/Women: Exempted
Selection Process – 100% Merit Based (No Exam)
- Merit list prepared trade-wise & unit-wise on the basis of percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate required)
- In case of tie: Older candidate → Earlier matric pass year
- Shortlisting for Document Verification: 1.5 times the number of vacancies
- Final merit list = number of slots
- Medical Examination (as per Annexure-II)
Stipend During Training
Stipend will be paid as per extant rules of Apprentices Act 1961 (rate revised from time to time). Currently ranges between ₹7,000 – ₹8,000+ per month depending on the period of training.
