The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) invites online applications from eligible male Indian citizens (including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan) for the post of Constable (Driver) in the General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) on a temporary basis, likely to become permanent. Successful candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad and will be governed by the ITBPF Act, 1992, and ITBPF Rules, 1994, along with other applicable rules.

Pay Scale and Allowances
- Pay Scale: Level-3 in the Pay Matrix Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100 (as per 7th CPC).
- Other Allowances: Includes Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance (while posted in specific border areas), free accommodation or House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, and Free Medical Facilities.
- Pension Benefits: The post is covered under the New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme, applicable to new entrants to Central Government Services w.e.f. 01 January 2004.

- Minimum Qualification: Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized board or institution.
- Driving License: Must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of four stages:
1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- 1.6 Km race to be completed within 7 minutes and 30 seconds.
- PET is qualifying in nature with no marks awarded.
- Candidates who fail in any event will be eliminated at this stage.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Height, weight, and chest measurements will be conducted for candidates who qualify the PET.
3. Written Examination (OMR-based)
- Total Marks: 100
- Exam Duration: 2 hours

4. Practical (Skill) Test
- This test is qualifying in nature and carries 50 marks. The candidate must score at least 50% to qualify.
- The test will evaluate driving skills such as starting the vehicle, driving on gradients, reversing, and knowledge of road signs.
5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Candidates who qualify the Practical Test will undergo a detailed medical examination as per ITBP standards.
6. Merit List
- Merit will be based on marks obtained in the written examination. Candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination based on merit.
