Candidates who are seeking a job as Teacher at any government aided schools of Kerala may apply online for K-TET Category I, II, III and IV for April 2024 Session to get awarded with a Teacher Eligibility Test certificate by appearing in the exam. K-TET April 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test for April 2024 Session in terms of educational qualification and age limit is available below.
Education Qualification:
- Category I (Lower Primary):
- Intermediate with 45% marks and 2-year Teacher Training Course (TTC) or equivalent.
- Or Intermediate with 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education by NCTE.
- Or Intermediate with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Or Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Category II (Upper Primary):
- B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with 45% marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC).
- Or B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
- Or Intermediate with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Or Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Category III (High School):
- B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with 45% marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned.
- Or MSc.Ed. in the subject concerned with 50% marks.
- Or MSc.Ed. in Life Science with 50% marks for Botany and Zoology.
- Category IV (Language Teacher):
- Qualifications specified for Language Teachers, Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as per Kerala Education Act And Rules.
- Or Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any subject approved by relevant authorities.
Age Limit:
- There is no lower or upper age limit for candidates applying for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) Category I, II, III or IV.

K-TET 2024 Application Fee
The application fee for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test for April 2024 Session is ₹500 for General candidates and ₹250 for the aspirant belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically Handicapped (PH), and Blind. It is mandatory to pay the required amount otherwise one’s application form won’t be accepted by Pareeksha Bhavan.
K-TET 2024 Exam Date
Pareeksha Bhavan will conduct the K-TET for Category 1, 2, 3 and 4 in offline mode with a time duration of 2 hours 30 minutes on June 22 and 23, 2024. Students who have applied to appear for this exam must be present at the exam centre one hour before the start of the exam with the required documents i.e. physical copy of admit card and photo identity card.
