• The preliminary test fee is ₹100 with a one time registration fee of ₹150. Candidates are required to pay this fee at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment unless they claim an exemption from the fee.

• The main written test fee is ₹200 with one time registration fee of 150.

The eligibility criteria for the TNPSC recruitment 2024 for the posts of Assistant Commissioner and District Educational Officer are as follows.

Assistant Commissioner:

• Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must possess any degree and also a degree of Bachelor of Law (3 years course) or a degree of Bachelor of Law (5 years Integrated course) from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission.

• Age Limit: 
  • The maximum age limit is 34 years for candidates not professing Hindu religion. For candidates professing Hindu religion, the maximum age limit is 39 years.

District Educational Officer:

• Educational Qualification
  • Open Market candidates must have a Master’s degree from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
• Age Limit: 

• For Open Market candidates, the maximum age limit is 32 years. For Teachers employed in recognized aided Secondary Schools and Higher Secondary Schools, the maximum age limit is 42 years.

The TNPSC Assistant Commissioner Recruitment selection process 2024 will include a Preliminary, Mains, and documents verification.

TNPSC Assistant Commissioner Exam Pattern 2024 is discussed below. 

Preliminary Exam Pattern:

• This is the first stage of the selection process. It is an objective-type CBT test for Assistant Commissioner and District Educational Officer posts which will cover 3 hours.
• It covers a range of topics including General Studies with 175 marks and Aptitude and Mental Ability Test with 25 marks, totalling 200.

Main Exam Pattern:

• The ability to appear for the main test will be granted to candidates who pass the preliminary exam. This examination will assess candidates more thoroughly on subjects relevant to the specific post they have applied for. 
• It contains 4 papers depending on different subjects and each paper carries a maximum of 300 marks and has a duration of 3 hours. Following the written examination of 750 marks, there will be an Oral Test (interview) which carries 100 marks.
