Jharkhand TET (JTET) 2024: Apply Now for Teacher Eligibility Test

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi has announced the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2024, opening the online application window on July 23, 2024. Aspiring teachers in Jharkhand can now apply for this crucial exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Primary Level (Classes 1-5):

  • Educational Qualification:
  • 10+2 Intermediate Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.).
  • OR 10+2 Intermediate Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.), as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
  • OR 10+2 Intermediate Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
  • OR Intermediate 10+2 Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • OR Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./DELED).

For Junior Level (Classes 6-8):

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./ D.El.Ed.).
  • OR Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular).
  • OR Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular), as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
  • OR 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed..
  • OR Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
