DRDO RCI Apprentice Recruitment 2024

The Research Center Imarat (RCI), DRDO invites online applications from young Indian nationals for the Apprentice posts in different categories, such as Graduate, Technician, and Trade Apprentice. The Apprentice training period is one year under the 1961 Apprentices Act. 

The organization plans to fill up the 200 vacant posts of Apprentices through this recruitment drive. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of the DRDO RCI Apprentice 2024 can apply online as the application is started from 24 Sep 2024 till 15 Oct 2024.

DRDO RCI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates who meet the following eligibility requirements can apply for the DRDO RCI Apprentice recruitment for FY 2024-25:

Age Limit:

• Applicants’ age for the apprentice post applications should be at least 18 years on 01 August 2024. 

Education Qualification:

For Graduate Apprentice

• Applicants should have completed B.E/ B.Tech in ECE/ CSE/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Chemical with a minimum of 60% marks.

For Technician Apprentice:

• Applicants must have done a diploma in ECE/ CSE/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Chemical with at least 60% minimum marks.

For Trade Apprentice:

• Applicants must be ITI pass out from NCVT/SCVT affiliated ITI institute in the relevant trade, such as Fitter, Electrician, COPA, Welder, etc. 
• Applicants should have cleared the qualification examination for Graduate, Diploma, or Trade apprentice in 2022, 2023, and 2024. 

Candidates who have already taken apprenticeship or taking apprenticeship training will be excluded from applying for the DRDO RCI Apprentice 2024.  

DRDO RCI Apprentice Selection Process 2024

The RCI-DRDO will select the candidates for the FY 2024-25 apprenticeship training program based on the following selection criteria:

• Screening of the applicants based on academics: The authority will screen the applicants based on their academic merit and shortlist the candidates. The candidates are requested to carefully enter their qualifications in the applications for the screening of the application. 
• Interview: The shortlisted candidates after the screening of the application would be called for the interview. The interview details will be notified to the candidates via email registered on the application form. 
• Document Verification: Candidates who clear the interview will be called for the original document verification to assess their reservation claims and education claims. The candidates will have to present the original and self-attested documents for verification. 

The successful candidates who have cleared the document verification stage will be selected for the training. The commencement of Apprentice training will be done on the scheduled date before the creation of the contract.

Candidates should prepare the following self-attested and original documents prior to the document verification for the DRDO RCI Apprentice 2024 recruitment:

• DRDO Apprentice Application form 2024 Hard Copy
• Educational Certificate of the respective category
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Aadhar Card
• Photo identity Proof
• Medical Fitness Certificate
• Aadhar Seeded Bank Account Statement/ Passbook
• Recent passport-size photograph.
