Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Constables in the Himachal Pradesh Police Department. The vacancies are open for both Male and Female candidates under Advertisement No. 24/10-2024 and 25/10-2024, respectively.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Education:
    • Passed Matriculation and 10+2 from an institution within Himachal Pradesh (exemption for Bonafide Himachalis).
  2. Age Limit (As on 01 January 2024):
    • General/EWS: 18 to 26 years
    • SC/ST/OBC/WFF/Ex-SM: 18 to 28 years (including relaxation).
  3. Physical Standards:
    • Male: Minimum height 5’6″ (5’4″ for SC/ST), chest 31”-32”
    • Female: Minimum height 5’2″ (5’0″ for SC/ST).

Selection Process

  1. Physical Standard Test (PST)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Written Test: 90 marks (Objective type, 2 hours).
  4. Evaluation & Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

Exam Syllabus
The syllabus for the written examination will be of +2 standards and will include multiple choice questions. Negative marking is applicable for wrong answers. The detailed syllabus will be available on the official website shortly after the advertisement.
