  • Notification Release Date: 16th February 2026
  • Online Application Start Date: 16th February 2026
  • Online Application End Date: 8th March 2026
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: 8th March 2026
  • Preliminary Exam (Tentative): 11th April 2026
  • Mains Exam (Tentative): 7th June 2026

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹450 (approx., including intimation charges)
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹100 (intimation charges only)

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit (as on 01.02.2026)

General Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Candidates must have been born between 2nd February 1998 and 1st February 2006 (both dates inclusive).

This applies to General (UR)/EWS candidates without any relaxation.

Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories

RBI provides upper age relaxation as per Government of India norms. Here’s the category-wise breakdown (relaxation added to the upper limit of 28 years):

    • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) Relaxation: 5 years Maximum Age: Up to 33 years
    • Other Backward Classes (OBC) – Non-creamy layer Relaxation: 3 years Maximum Age: Up to 31 years
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) Relaxation varies by sub-category:
      • General/EWS PwBD: 10 years (up to 38 years)
      • OBC PwBD: 13 years (up to 41 years)
      • SC/ST PwBD: 15 years (up to 43 years)
