CG Forest Guard Eligibility Criteria 2024

Eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Vanrakshak in CG Forest Department is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

• Educational Qualification: A candidate must have passed class 12th examination in Science, Commerce, Arts or Vocational stream from a school affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi or CGBSE, Raipur.
• Age Limit: The age of an applicant should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years, for OBC and SC candidates, the upper age limit is 3 and 5 years, respectively.

CG Forest Guard Application Fee 2024

To submit the application form for the post of Forest Guard in the Forest Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, a candidate who belongs to the General or Other Backward Class category will have to deposit a fee of ₹350/- and for those candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, the application fee is only ₹250/-.

CG Forest Guard Selection Process 2024

Selection process for the post of Forest Guard consists three stages, which are Written Exam, Physical Efficiency & Standard Test (PET/PST), Document Verification.

Written Exam:

• Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper-based)
• Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
• Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Total Marks: 150 marks
• Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Sections: General Knowledge, General Hindi, Mental Ability, and Numerical Ability.
• Medium: Bilingual (English and Hindi)

Physical Efficiency & Standard Test:

• Physical Standard Test (PST):
  • Male Candidates:
    • Height: Minimum 163 cm
    • Chest: 79 cm (normal) and 84 cm (expanded)
  • Female Candidates:
    • Height: Minimum 150 cm
    • Chest: Not applicable
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

• Male Candidates:
  • Event: 25 km walk
  • Time Duration: 4 hours
• Female Candidates:
  • Event: 14 km walk
  • Time Duration: 3 hours

• Transgender Candidates:
  • Event: 800 meters run
  • Time Duration: 2 hours

Document Verification:
