The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the recruitment of Constables in the Jammu and Kashmir Police for the year 2024. A total of 4002 vacancies are available.

Educational Qualification:
- Constable (Armed/IRP): Passed class 10th / High School Examination from a recognized board in India.
- Constable (SDRF): Passed class 10th / High School Examination from a recognized board in India.
- Constable (Telecom): Passed class 12th / Intermediate Examination from a recognized board in India.
- Constable (Photographer): Passed 10+2 with Science along with a 6-month computer course and two years of experience in videography/photography.
- Constable (Executive) Jammu: Passed class 10th / High School Examination from a recognized board in India.
- Constable (Executive) Kashmir: Passed class 10th / High School Examination from a recognized board in India.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates with a Jammu and Kashmir domicile can apply online for the JK Police Constable Vacancy 2024 through the official website: jkssb.nic.in.
Physical Standard Test (PST):
- For Males:
- Height: 5’6″ (minimum)
- Chest Girth: 32″ (unexpanded), 33 ½” (expanded)
- For Females:
- Height: 5’2″ (minimum)
Relaxation in Physical Standards: Candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe will have a 2-inch relaxation in the minimum height requirement.
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
- For Male Candidates:
- Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
- Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down to be counted as one)
- For Female Candidates:
- Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
- Shot Put (4Kgs): 14 ½ feet in three attempts
