TNTET Notification 2024 – Paper I & II Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Fee

Notification for the Teacher Eligibility Test for Paper I and I is going to be released officially by the Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board in April 2024 and then candidates who have required educational qualification will be able to apply online on or before the deadline.

Candidate who have pursued Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor’s of Education and want to get awarded with TET certificate for Paper I or II, which is mandatory to have to get appointed as Teacher, he or she need to know that the application form will be available on the official website at https://trb.tn.gov.in/.

To apply online for Teacher Eligibility Test for Paper I or II, an individual will have to provide details, upload documents with photograph and signature and pay the examination fee by visiting the official website of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board. Once the notification is released officially, the link to apply will be also activated above.

TNTET 2024 Exam Date 

Date for commencement of Teacher Eligibility Test for Paper I and II is not yet announced officially by the TN TRB, it is anticipated that it will be held in offline mode through the OMR Sheet for both papers most probably in July 2024 with an exam time duration 02 hours and 30 minutes across the State.

TNTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test for Paper I and II is terms of education qualification and age limit is available below.

Educational Qualification:

  • Paper I: An individual must have passed the Intermediate (Higher Secondary Certificate) and pursued a 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education from the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government of Examination.
  • Paper II: One must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce or Arts and have completed 2 years Bachelor’s of Education, or he/she must have completed a 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education and he or she must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in any stream. 

Note: Candidates who are in the final year/semester of Bachelor’s of Education or Diploma in Elementary Education, he or she can apply to sit in the TNTET.

Age Limit:

  • Paper I & II: One’s age must not be below 18 and above 40 years, there will be upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per TN government rules.

TNTET 2024 Exam Fee

To apply online for the Teacher Eligibility Test for Paper I or II, an individual will have to pay examination fees at the end of submission of the application form, whose details are available below.

  • OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC: ₹500/-
  • SC/ST/SC(A)/PWD: ₹250/-

Aspirants will be able to pay the required amount through the debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI.
