The WBJEE Board has extended the counseling registration date to 21 July 2024, which means the seat allotment result will not come out on 19 July 2024. The WBJEEB conducted the OMR-based entrance test for enrollment into Undergraduate courses in Engineering & Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy in different government colleges, Universities, and self-financing institutes of the state on 28 April 2024. 

The board declared the result on 6 June 2024 and opened the admission counselling registration window on 10 July 2024. The candidates who have qualified for the WBJEE-2024 examinations are required to register for counseling to participate in the counseling process. 

The candidates who have registered for the WBJEE-2024 counselling and are waiting for the round 1 seat allotment result have to wait because the authority has extended the counseling registration date to 21 July 2024.

The authority has revised the schedule for the WBJEE-2024 counselling and now the candidates can expect the seat allotment result of Round 1 of counselling on 23 July 2024.

The seat allotment of WBJEE-2024 is based on the merit list, candidates’ rank, locked choices, and availability of seats in preferred colleges. The aspirants can check the seat results on the official website once the authority releases the direct link of the Round 1 Seat allotment result. 

The candidates can check their WBJEE-2024 seat allotment result with their roll number, WBJEE password, and security pin. The candidates can follow the below steps to check their seat allotment results:

• First, go to the official WBJEEB website mentioned above.
• Next, navigate to Examinations and look for the direct link of WBJEE-2024 Seat Allotment Result in the latest News section. 
• Click the seat allotment result direct link and enter the WBJEE-2024 roll number and password along with the security pin. 
• After you submit the above details, the WBJEE-2024 Round 1 Seat allotment result will appear on your screen. 

What’s next after the WEJEE-2024 Seat allotment result?

After the seat allotment results, the students can move forward with the following procedure:

• After the seat allotment results, the students are free to accept the seat, reject the seat, or do nothing. 
• Students who are satisfied with their allotted colleges need to accept the seat by paying a seat acceptance fee of ₹5000 between 23 July 2024 and 29 July 2024 and report to the allotted college. The students must download the seat allotment letter from the official website. 
• The reporting to the allotted college is needed to complete your admission procedure. The students should report to the allotted college with the necessary documents and pay the applicable tuition fee for the course to lock their seats. The students can check the seat tuition in the WBJEE 2024 participating college list and brochures. 
• Students who reject the seat can apply for the next round of counseling to get their desired seat. The Mop-up round of the counseling will begin from 5 August 2024 to 7 August 2024, you can also take part in this round if you meet the eligibility. 
• The students who do not take any action after the seat allotment results like accept or reject the seat will be out of this year’s admission cycle.

Documents needed for Admission in the WBJEE-2024 Allotted Colleges 

The students who chose to accept the allotted seat in the WBJEE-2024 counselling would need to report to the allotted college with the following documents and tuition fees to lock their seat and complete their admission process for 2024-25:

• WBJEE-2024 Seat Allotment letter
• WBJEE-2024 scorecard
• Educational certificate from high school to intermediate.
• OCI Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Domicile certificate
• Tuition Waiver Certificate (if applicable)
• Category Certificate

The WBJEE-2024 qualifiers who registered for the admission counselling will check the seat allotment result for the Round 1 counselling on 23 July 2024.
